Naji Wilson

Naji Wilson holds a Bachelor’s degree in Urban Planning from Wayne State University, with a minor in Community Health. She began her professional career at Henry Ford Health System, where she spent five years in laboratory services, building a strong foundation in healthcare systems and operations.

As an Urban Studies student, she worked on the Wayne State University campus plan, ensuring that development reflected the needs of the community. Beyond her academic and professional work, she has demonstrated a deep commitment to neighborhood revitalization. Drawing on her community engagement skills, she successfully led efforts to restore an abandoned park in her neighborhood, creating a safe and vibrant space for local children and families.

She currently serves as the Program Manager at the Villages Community DevelopmentCorporation, where she manages housing initiatives, events, and community engagement programs. In this role, she continues to bring her passion for equity-driven planning and community health to the forefront—designing spaces and opportunities that foster connection, resilience, and growth.
